Hey guys and gals. My name is Charles but everyone calls me Porkchop. I am a guy trying to start up a lawn business here in Florida. I dont have much as far as experience other than my farm. If anyone has some tips for me , they would be very helpful. I just bought a new SCAG turf tiger 61 and a SCAG 48 walk-behind. I need to figure out how to price jobs, thats the main thing. I dont want to get people mad at me for under bidding but i just dont know how to bid. Thanks and i hope this is a good venture.

Sounds like you got a good start with mowers. You will learn from time that this site is filled with a bunch of worthless people and info.

If you want to get good solid info go to the networking area and find the thread called "tampa area anyone" Thats a bunch of good guys there that are very helpful pertaining to our state. As for prices well they range all over the place, depending on who has been where. I mean I got some yards that should be going for $140 but people work real cheap down here and alot of people will tell you that the last guy did it cheaper.

Good luck you're in probably the best state for a lawn care operation.
