Just a few pictures from this long week of work.

On this job we are clearing the trees off the dam and hauling them off.
Then we hauled in about 1800 yards of dirt to make the pond dam wider. while I'm here I dug out the head section of the pond and drove some post for a dock.

All that's remaining is to put down 200 tons of rip rap on the front side, 150 tons of stone for the drive and seed/ straw everything.

You are definatly pushing the Daewoo to the max. Something we don't do much here is play in the muck.

Another thing you don't see much is a 8500 tandem axle Chevy dump that old truck must be pretty slow with 3126 Cat power. Wouldn't want it sunk into mud with a full load and with 40 rear axles axle snappage is possible.

i see a lot of small trees that got hurt and damaged, i thought you got a big fine and it wasnt allowed to happen?

How are you supposed to prevent tree damage on a job like that its nearly impossible. Doesn't matter how carefull you are tree damage is going to happen.

Not one single tree outside of my working area was damaged. What's funny is this guy was a tree hugger and the neighbor 3 houses up has us dumping all the wet mud into his woods, letting it run down the hill nocking down trees 20' tall! When i was done it was 8' deep around the base of some trees, think they'll live long? Just had a laugh a little.
