The mid-am is something I just heard about as well. It is held in Chicago in January. I have been to GIE and know that is a lot more equipment and demo day. I was told that the Mid-am is equpiment, nurseries, hardscape dealers, lighting dealers, just the way it was describe to me it seemed like a lot more companies with booths then GIE but I am not forsure. That is why I kinda would like to hear from those who have been to both and hear their opinion. You can type in mid-am in a search engine and it will bring it up to take a look at. It is at the mcormick center in chicago which is closer to me so that is why i thought maybe this year to go to mid-am only and figure out what the best deal is. I would like to go to both but sometimes don't get that chance. thank you for the question and maybe your research will help me out. everyone have a great day.

Looks like myself and one of my guys is going to go to GIE, its a farther drive for us but it looks like it will be more beneficial for us being in more on the maintenance side of things. (Ferris and Exmark are not on the list to be at the mid-am show)

That is not good. I wanted to see ferris and this big talk they have. But I guess on the other hand I am looking for the nursery end of it so I know where to turn to get my plants and other supplies. HHHMMMM.... I will have to email my ferris guy and see why not mid-am. Thank you for the heads up.

I have always wondered WTF they have these events when everybody is busy WORKING???
Why not hold an event in January (maybe in Florida or south Texas) when we don't have to "get the work done"???
Then we would certainly attend. IMO it's weird.
