Saw one of these the other day at the dealer and the price caught my attention $1,600.00. It seems to be a very solid machine minus the Briggs engine. I had plans for a Quick 32 the biginning of next season but would like inputs on this. Anyone know the blade tip speed? If you have one, do you like it? Do you or would you trust it on back yards with 35-40 accounts? Not all will have small gates... Just on average.

Do a search. You will find out its cheep for a reason and go with a quick like I did.

The quick I was planning on getting was a Briggs also. Is it worth the extra $600.00 for single hydro vs gear?

Have many hills? Neither will be very good on hills. The billy goat mowers look cheaply made, I would stay away from them.

Almost no hills. Strickly back yards on no bigger then 1/4-1/2 acre lots. Any yard bigger then that has a big gate or no gate.

Sounds like the quick will be right for you then.

Not trying to go against your recommendation, but why is the Quick better? I heard that the Quick has thin front casters just like this one. Both have briggs engines. Both have the same guage deck. Are you just basing it on the cheap looking handle bars the Billy Goat has?

I was actually making the same choice you were and my reasoning is as follows.
1)Billy goat is a great company, I own there leaf loader but they are not known for there mowers.
2) There deck is very shallow if I remember correctly.
3) hydro is much better even if it is single

also if I were you I would spend the extra $ and get the better engine.

I was looking at the BG 33 also at one time because of it's size but it's nowhere near the mower the Q32 is. The Quick is much heavier duty and even so I consider it to be the minimum for commercial use. I bought a used Q36 and I so glad I didn't waste my time with a BG. I live pretty close to you, if you want to look at a Q36 sometime to compare, PM me.
