ztr speeds

:confused: Hi guys, Hey I'll admit I'm new at this am starting out this spring for the first time. Hope to be able to go full time in 2 to 3 years get out of the foundry after nearly 24 years all on third shift. I was reading about ztr speeds this one goes 14 miles an hour that one goes 15 miles an hour..... We can't be talking mowing speeds can we? And if we're not what difference does it make how fast they can go. Just a new guy dazed and confused... lol::: ::blush:

Yes you can cut that fast on big lawns but the cut will not be as good as going 8 mph no matter what ztr you use.

The Dixie Chopper & the Hustler go 14/15 respecfully. Depends on the grass on wheather the 'cut' is actually good or not. Lots of people will debate this vigorously- I've demo'd both on bahaia grass & the cut looked very good. Also depends on the type of blade you have on the mower (but that's still another debate).
