i have the chance to pick one up 48" how are they? stripe good? pro's and con's please... was a demo unit 80-100 hrs

With the loop handles, I assume it has the hydro pumps and wheel motors seperate?
I had, and sold to a friend, a Scamper 48" (pistol grips) that was the "cheaper" version with the hydrostats. IMO, perfectly good for a fairly light w/b machine, but in trying to sell it everyone was shying from it because of the hydrostats. I had zero issues with them, and the machine as a whole was darn nice too.
If my friend didn't already say he wanted it, I'd make you a good deal on a almost brand new accelerator catcher for your -soon to be- new machine!

it's a brand new one i don't know much about this mower yet...
how well does it stripe??
do i need a kit?

That is an incredible mower. The stripes are VERY good. I wish I could find one.

I agree with genesis. These mowers arent all that well known but they are great. Dealer service depends on area because of acquisition by Ariens two years ago and some issues with getting them up to speed, but the one I have in Green Bay area works great! I'd say go for it!
