This is my wrestling coaches trailer, he uses it for hauling his harley and to haul his mower. Im good friends with his son so we worked out a trade. Basicly the trailer had a wooden deck but I converted it to an expanded steel floor for him, I still need to sand and paint it.
Before:
As you can see there is a massive hole in the floor and its pretty rotten.

Before #2:

To support the steel deck better I welded in two 2"x4" pieces of steel channel (they are the white beams that are wider than all the others)

You can see the two pieces I welded in better in this picture.

Looks better. That mesh will bow though over time with weight on it. You gonna wire it up and everything like that for him. What happened to that Isuzu?

I told him that the expanded steel will bow, and I offered to put a wood floor on it but he wanted it expanded steel so it will hopefully weather better. The only problem is that the back has about a 1.5" high gap that will be a real pain then trying to load a mower, so im trying to figure out a way to cut it out without weakening the trailer or just welding a small piece of steel in so the gap is less. The trailer lights are already wired up so all I need to do is sand and paint it. BTW you have a good eye for picking out that is an isuzu. You can thank my dad for the front end he got out and didnt set the parking brake and it rolled into a tree. It used to be a farm truck till the timing belt broke and bent up some valves, I just got it running 2 weeks ago, it had sat for 2 years.

Hey just a year ago all I could do is dream about welding and fixing cars. I have always been good a fixing and making things but in the last year I have started welding and resurrected my old truck(see my previous post) from the dead. Im sure you have more ability than you think.
IHUSKY and South Florida Lawns thanks the welder is a hobart 210 mig, its freakin awesome!!! I have been after my parents for the last 5 years to let me buy one and they always said only if you get straight A's (like thats gonna happen:cry:) Finally last year as a birthday and Christmas present they got it for me. BTW a redneck trailer is one of those old truck bed trailers:laugh::laugh:.

I guess I need to claify, the trailer belongs to my wrestling coach, I just put a new floor on it and he gave me an old lawn tractor, the tube steel from 3 trampolines and the springs, a power washer, a tree house, an a go kart. I think I got the better deal!
To be honest I didn't really even consider using solid steel because I figured it was to heavy, and to expensive.

one mans trash is another man treasure. He was probably trying to get rid of that stuff. Does the go-cart run?

All of it is being salvaged, I'm building a front mount mower for gates out of the lawn tractor. I need to fix the power washer, the tree house went to my paintball course, the go kart runs well but needs a new sprocket, the trampoline steel has been super valuable I have made a ladder for a dock, a steel rack, several saw horses, and a bunch of other stuff.

LOL Im like a pack rat I save every bit of steel I cut and use it on other projects. Besides sometimes when I get bored I take the small scraps and weld them tougher to make stick stick figures(I think you can see one in some of the pics) And yes he was trying to get rid of some of the stuff, he practicly begged me to take the trampoline steel and riding mower.
Thanks to everyone for there comments!!!! I will post more pics after I paint it, which I hope will be this weekend.
