lawnsite is for everybody

Maybe I'm spewin' smoke here, but.....often times when I'm online "here" ....friends or neighbors show up while I'm on the lawnsite page. Then they start reading the posts, etc, along with me, and they are immediately "intrigued". Then they run across posts that have so much humor that it makes Saturday Night Live look like a pony contest. :laugh: (Whoopass is a respected example). Bottom line -- my friends think I'm a genius cuz I visit lawnsite. :confused: I realize they're wrong, but I don't want to spoil my local reputation.

Any of YOUR friends enjoy lawnsite too? :usflag::canadaflag:

p.s. Anybody else think these moderators are dong a fine job?

None of my friends check out lawnsite. They actually think there is something wrong with me for working on lawns all day and than going on a lawn website to read and talk more about lawns. What can I say? I got it bad. Also, I think the moderators do a very good job with this site.

Same here, but I take solace in the fact that my friends make 7.50 an hour working at restaurants, stores, etc. while I make 35 an hour for mowing (one yard takes an hour to an hour and a half, but still not bad, my record has been 45 minutes fully mowed, trimmed, and edged.) Plus they're inside all day and have people telling them what to do all day, while i'm outside enjoying the fresh air, exercise, and working for myself.

Not to be a suck up but, yes the Mod's do a pretty good job here

No friends of mine on this site. I'm glad that some of my customers don't come on here and get the wrong idea when they look through all the " What do I charge? " threads.

Sometimes charges for services seem outrageous to people when they don't know the actual cost of running a business. Sure you might be charging 45 an hour, but on some rare occasions you might only be actually making $7.50 an hour.

I respect the mods. They have to find a threshold, and they seem to not be too aggressive. Occasionally I see a thread or two that crosses the line of "Heated Debate" and being offensive. But I understand that there is some freedom on this site, and you have to step in at the right times.

Yeah, can relate to this statemenet. The mod's do a good job, just wish they would would not lock the lawncare/snowplow threads on here,:nono: as we can't get those answers on Plow-site.
