200 clams in the bank for two hours work (roto-tilling a lawn). I love making $100 an hour. :)

Yeah buddy if you price stuff right, the money will be there. I did a patio with 1 helper and made about 2 grand in 14 hours. I'll admit, the job went WAY faster than expected but it makes up for those crappy jobs you get trapped in.

I'm willing to be you didn't "make" 100/hr. As previouis poster said...minus everything and you'll be surprised what it goes down to.

Was tilling the only job performed that day?

I have some bad memories of those "jobs you get trapped in" lol.
I've taken less and less of those recently - you know, I never realized it until a couple years ago, but two jobs at $400 a pop are waaaay better than 4 jobs at $200 a pop (that I should have charged $300 for, and I know it )
Now I'm convinced that I need to buy a bigger tiller. . .

Agreed... net income is the bottom line...

I'm working on a patio right now and the budget restrictions are killing me. I don't think I'm going to profit like I have all summer, but the only bonus is that it's a person in town that knows a lot of people. So ultimately, I might not make as much on this job, but it should drum up plenty of business.
