Nice set-up! I liked your Chevy, but this Ford looks very professional with the lettered enclosed trailer. Do you plan to put towing mirrors on the Ford?

It is pretty straightfoward in my mind... the person that holds the title owns the asset... unless of course you are talking about real estate... in that case you can pay it off and still never truly own it due to advalorem taxes.

I would not even worry about a house... if you put 20% down and have the income to prove you can afford it there won't be a problem. You don't have a house? Now is the time to buy!
No i have a house. Had it for a year and a half. I didnt have 20% when we bought it so good thing i had good credit! We will buy in two years. and ill have my 20% ready then. But its still good to have the credit for the intrest rate.

Well I still don't think buying a 50k truck is the best strategy for a better credit score. Credit cards are an easy way to get credit as well as a mortgage.
Buying a nice house is a great way to enjoy your profits while your asset appreciates... unlike a truck it is easy to take a bath.
I bought my duramax 04 cc loaded w/ 85k miles for 15k last year. I can drive it for another year and still get my money back out of it. My cousin bought the exact same truck for 19k last week. I still would not consider my truck a great investment, but I will ride for free for two years.

But i like to have warranty. You buy that 50k truck because you can. I like enjoying life and having crap i want. regardless if the bank owns it. Its called living and being adventurous. Its not fun being boring.

I work so hard for my money... I doubt I will ever buy new. I just can't see losing 20k in a couple years on nice truck... hell I can buy a just as nice truck that is 4 years old that has hit a relative bottom on depreciation. Being cheap does not necessarily mean boring. Scoring amazing deals is pretty fun... and taking time off to go on vacation or hitting the golf course while the guys are working is nice.

10k? Find me one for 10k... I will turn it on ebay for 17k. I have checked ebay completed items and can get 17k today for my truck... it is pristine.

You can still do all that and have brand new vehicles. These days as cheap as you can get a new truck it is worth it. you can get that 15-20k depreciation off when you buy it now.

I would think yours would be worth 25k on ebay... not sure if the 2wd hurts you though.
Forget NADA and kelly blue book. Ebay is what the dealer auctions are bringing... I used to have my dealers license and could never make any money selling anything on ebay coming from the auto auctions.
