16 foot by 7 foot trailer. Owner says its in great shape. 2-3500lb axles with trailer brakes. I'm trying to figure out my best offer! I have to drive 150 miles to pick it up if I want it. Help me..

Just to start the bidding I would say at least a thousand.

I paid $2400 for a trailer (6ft by 14ft) very simular to that one but that was brand new and I had to drive 6 hours and tank and half of gas. If you can get that trailer for a grand, jump on it. Good luck.

He is firm at $1,500. I think I'm going to go Saturday to get it. I sold my 16' trailer about 2 years ago and bought a 10' trailer and I have hated it ever since! Bigtex has a 16' in stock for $3,200 but it doesn't have the side gate. I just hope there is nothing wrong with it like he says. I was going to have a trailer made, I posted in another thread, but they want $7,200 for it and I don't want to spend that much cash right now.

Is there a specific reason you want that trailer? All of the extra steel is going to make it very heavy, probably close to 2500 pounds. That not very good for the gas mileage and it hurts the amount of weight you can carry.

It can hold two Toro riders and I won't have to move them to get to the smaller 32" and 21" W/B's. It's also good for packing it full of leaves/tree limbs. I also like the raised sides for extra security. I have been using this type of trailer for years and love it. I hate my 10 footer I have now and want to upgrade.
