Your opinion on rebuilt truck motors

i can get a 95 gmc 4 x 4 350 c.i. auto trans with 120,000 miles in very good shape thats always only been used for transportation thats just a month ago had a rebuilt motor put in for $5000 . this motor comes from a pro rebuilding shop thats heavily recomended by local mechanic types . ide only be pulling a small trailer carrying a 48 " and 32 " ex mark walk behinds . im wondering the opinions on rebuilt motors ?

my first post didnt come out too clear . i was trying to say i can buy this truck for $5000 , from a trusted friend . but ive never owned a rebuilt motor so am wondering of others experiences with them .
