Hi there was wondering if someone could give me the procedure for adjusting the valves on a kawasaki fh451v 15 hp?I checked other posts but was not sure if the specs are the same for the bigger kawasaki's?I also have a problem with the mower kind of skipping when moving in forward gears(belt drive) or possibly slipping hard to describe.I replaced the jack shaft pulleys last season and the trans is about 3 yrs old,any help would be great.Thanks John:)

The adjustment procedure is the same on all FH series engines;

As for the trans jumping, That sounds like possibly worn shift keys along with the inner mating surface of the gears. But also could be the output (drive shaft) couplers, Check them first for slippage.
Thanks again Restrorob I will look into the trans problem and adjusting the valves.I will let you know how I make out.Thanks John
Hey there Restrorob I adjusted the valves according to the specs thank you.They were out of adjustement.I'am not quite sure how to check the trans problem though.I noticed that when the engine is at full throttle and you go to lower the rpm's down you get a backfire out of the exhaust.The valve adjustement seemed to make alittle better,any ideas.Thanks for helping it is greatly appreciated.John:)
