I finally bit the bullet and bought a 14 bushel mcs for my 757. It was definitely not the easiest thing to install, but it sure comes off in a hurry. Also a pic of my daughter. My wife insisted!!!!!!!!!

I take it thats mainly for leaves? How long does it take before you have to dump the debris?

It has a great cut and I have had very few problems out it. I will be using to bag some grass with but I will hopefully use it a ton this fall. Obviously it depends on how thick the leaves are, but I mowed my entire backyard (1/3 acre) and it wasn't full. That was picking up both grass clipping and light leaf coverage.

That set up will keep you mowing for awhile. Any weights for the front? Good luck lifting those when they become full of grass, lol. Nice unit though.

It has 2 40lb weights up front but is suppose to have 4. The bags are not nearly as heavy as the accelerator full of grass.

You'll need the other two! My Gravely has 2 bags (I dont know the bushel size) but even with almost a hundred pounds out front hills can be tricky when the bags are full.

I have the 3 bag system for my Tiger Cub. Works great and leaves a clean finish. If I get my hands on a pickup truck that I can put a dump bed on, I'll be bagging most of the places I do just so it looks better.
Sorry, it's the only pic with the bagger system on.

lighter than the accelerator? WOW...I just got the 6.2 cu ft accelerator for my Everride and I didn't think it was all that heavy full of grass...I was kinda surprised that it was not heavier than it was

I will probably end up putting the other two weights on it, I just hate the mounting system that they use. You have to bolt them right in front of the feet platform.
Corey, have you had to empty that catcher when it was full of wet grass clippings? That is when it gets heavy.
Greg, what do you do with the grass that you bag now? We typically leave it curbside. It sure beats ridings around all week with fermenting grass in the back of the truck. By the way, nice Scag. How do you like Gorilla lift on your trailer. I just had my gate extended to 6ft and it probably weighs 300lbs.

I leave the grass at the properties in a debris pile. The lift is a must have if your gate is that heavy. LOL It works great and I don't know what I'd do without it. :)

You are not talking about your gate being heavy right? I have a similar sized trailer as yours and lift my gate 15+ times a day depending on the day and it really isn't heavy. We are talking about a single axle 5' wide trailer and the gate is pretty small.
When I am able to up to a wider/longer trailer, I will want the lift help but I cannot imagine spending $50 on springs and pulleys to make my own lift let alone a few hundred for the gorilla lifts.

I know what you mean. Half way through the install I thought to myself, why in the world did you not pay the dealer $150 to install it. It is amazing how fast it comes off though.

Hey Justus,
Man, that is a sweet looking JD setup you have there. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed meeting you and your family Halloween night over at the Grimes. You have a lovely family and I hope we didn't bore Justin too much with all the mower talk..hahaha.

I'm a light weight when it comes to picking stuff up thats heavy. I have a 16B bagger kit on my Scag and I have no problems lifting and dumping them.

Yeah, they are pretty easy to handle when full.
How much did that bagging system cost for the john deere 757?

well I have to admit I haven't had to pick it up with wet grass yet...I just got it about a month ago so really hasn't BEEN any wet grass.
I have TWO gorilla lifts on my trailer and honestly I never realized how heavy that gate was! I still have to help it quite a bit even with the two lifts.

it is great so see some more people from alabama on LS... Nice set up for leaves... I have the scag TT with clamshell and a walker GHS.... So when do you plan on starting you fall cleanups... Not very many leaves have fallen where i live yet?
LawnNeedz

Yeah at the rate the leaves are falling here they won't be done until Christmas. Right now I am servicing my accounts biweekly, so I just pick them up as they fall. Which bags leaves better, the Scag or the Walker? Also does the Walker seem alot slower than the Scag when mowing? I have been considering getting one but feel it might be a little slow.
