I had one I broke I first week. It gets hung up on everything and will just fall apart.

Take it to a local metal shot tell them what you want it will be simple quick and make it just like the exmark, and you'll have one of the nicest machines on the lawn

I beleive the new 08, 09 stripe kits are a little better design. The older ones have the c- clips and washers that would eventually break and the stripe kit would slide off.

I bought my kit with the mower this year. It has the "C" clips. A simple fix would be to use external snap rings in place of the "C" clips. Try putting a 2.5mm "C" clip on one time! :) Radio controlled cars use them, I raced them for 15 years! My eyes have gotten worse to the point I can't see to put them on without glasses. I'm retired from racing at this point. God the cost was more then I paid for ALL of my mowing gear including the Scag! I've spent enough money on racing those cars over the years to buy a new home! Anyway, what were we talking about? Thats right, "C" clips, if you have a Tiger Striper kit and it has "C" clips, go to Lowes and buy some external snap rings of the proper size and you'll be golden. :D

its not just the c-clips. it bends soooo easy always gets hung up on everything and the bushings inside the rollers wear out fast even if you keep a dap of greese on them. ive had mine on for 400hrs now and its fallen apart to the point of no return.
