I keep having a fuse blow the one with yellow wires running to it. It is a 61 inch high velocity deck with a 27 hp kohler. It will only blow when running under a load (PTO engaged). It will run for maybe 5 min or 20 then it will stop running. All connections checked and cleaned. Can not find any bad spots on the wires.

I'm not familiar with the scags, but it sounds like the elctric clutch is shorting out or the bearing in the clutch is almost seized and is creating a mighty fine drag on the pulley, and is too much for the 20 amp fuse to carry all the time. Do you hear any sounds from the clutch when it is engaged? If it shuts off again, put your hand on it, if it is burning hot, you probably have a short inside the clutch or the pulley may be seized. They go out after time, its normal with high hours. Also, if you engage/disengage the pto at WOT that wears it out quicker too. Good luck

I was thinking that may be the problem. I would like to find out if there is any way to check it with an ohm meter. I only have 450 hrs on the machine.
