Well, I've had this thing on my wish list since I was about 5 years old. 23 years later, I couldfinally afford one for myself. I can definately say that I never thought I would actually own my own tractor, but but also know that all of the long hours, hard work, and sweat have finally made one dream come true.
I bought a John Deere 4320, 48 HP Diesel tractor with front loader. Tractor only has 286 hours on it - mint condition! Hope you enjoy the photos.

Very nice addition. I live in Kansas and this is the real "John Deere Country!" I though maybe it was an 8010 articulating tractor!

To be totally honest - I don't care if I use for nothing more than touing around! I take the appraoch that you have to reward yourself sometimes and continue to provide a reason to get out of bed in the morning and go after it, so that is what I did. I just choose to reward myself with things that have the opportunity make more money.
I do own 7 acres outside of town that I was going to build my shop and house on, but plans have changed for that. I will use it out there to mess around until the property sells.
I also want to have our own mulch pit and get bulk mulch delivered. This will enable us to have the luxury now. We also do a lot of work for realtors and property managers, and often come across vacant lots that need mowed/brush hogged. I was never able to do it before, but now I can. The opportunities and good times are endless.
I follow ETWman's thread rather regularly, and just noticed they were talking about debt. The tractor was paid for in cash, and we currently carry zero debt in the company.

Very nice tractor. I assumed it was new as well untill I read the post. My machine has 202 hours on it and it looks like it got hit by a bomb or something. Well, that is a slight exaderation. But you get the idea. Except ours sits outside, is used way past its limits, and is used for snow removal and salt spreading (rust). Is yours all previous home owner use or something?

You will find it is the type of thing that you will find A LOT of uses for here and there. We bought ours only for snow removal. Before I knew it we used it for everything. I even bring it out to the dumpster and crush the trash down and get an extra week out of the dumping routine. I use it to load 3 wheel barrows at a time of mulch at a site. And every year I bring it to my lake house with the pallet forks on and remove my docks with it.

Again, very nice tractor and good luck!

What size trailer do you haul it on and what do you pull it with?

Funny thing is I have not gotten a trailer yet to haul it. I have a couple of trailers that could haul it, but they both have a gate on the back. The gate would bend from the weight of the tractor. I hauled it home 5 hours with my friends 32' equipment trailer, along with an Exmark Front Runner on the trailer too. That was quite a load going down the highway. I plan on getting a gooseneck trailer over the winter, just waiting for the right used deal to pop up (kind of like this tractor did). I will pull it with my 2004 Chevy 2500hd Duramax Diesel.

I also have a Chevy 3500hd flatbed that would pull it. I am not sure if our Mitsubishi Fuso cabover would pull it or not. If I go the gooseneck route though - it will go on the 2500hd.

there is a guy on here selling 3 16' equipment trailers... i don't know if it's a goose neck but it might be just what you need...

Jeez, what a beautiful sight. I would take that over any Cadillac or car out there. At that high of horsepower, to that small of a tractor, that thing is a powerhouse. Sweet piece of equipment.
