I was wondering how much insurance coverage most commercial accounts require you to carry on your liability insurance.

1 million is the normal around here, and i think its about the norm nationwide.

Mine is $2600 a year but it's based on payroll?! 3 employees at $80,000 on average a year. It also includes coverage for pesticide apps. but nothing for equipment. That is a seperate policy and that is $500 a year. Probably cause I'm in CALIFORNIA.

You need the one million on GL and usually about 500k on auto liability. The rates on GL are based on payroll, so it you do not have any help, it should run about 500 per year. It will be more with equipment and the business auto is based on your truck, but it should run about 1000 per year. If you are a sub for another company on these projects, they will want you to have workers comp coverage also. That is based on payroll, so I cannot guess what it would run
