I need good used BR420 carbs. Anyone know where I can find these available.

Your local Stihl dealer will sell them to you all day long.
There is little to no after market for this prolifically supported product.

I have a question about a BR340. I recent put this unit together. the first couple times it started within 5 pulls with choke. now today I nearly pulled my arm off about 12 x's on choke to get it to fire. so I adjusted the low set on the carb just alittle further richer. then it started in 6 pulls with choke. is this a carb problem because of the cooler outside temps or is this a compression problem. Seems to have compression. Would a 32:1 mixing ratio help it start easier instead 50:1 If I change mixing ratio to 32:1 will that effect the current carb setting.

32:1 ratio uses more oil, creats more carbon buildup, and also fouls the plug out quicker. probably carb setting wrong. Some models that I have noticed, I used to work at a Stihl certified dealet and worked on these before. There are sometimes the factory settings right on the cover on top of the carb close to the needles. if not, you can try your local stihl dealer and ask them. Theres a technical book for every model and it will say the factory carb settings. Good luck Any questions holler.
