I just got a couple of quotes from my nearest hustler dealer.

Fasttrak, 48", 19HP Kawasaki, $4900 (+tax)
Superduty, 48", 23HP Kawasaki, $5600 (+ tax).

I have about 2.5-3 acres of zoysia which takes me about 1.75-2 hours to mow with my dying 5 year old Troybilt lawn tractor. Looking for something to half that time and last me more than a decade. Are the above prices reasonable and which mower do you rec'd (Fasttrak or Superduty).

Thanks

The Superduty. But, that's all I'm gonna say because I don't like Hustler AT ALL. TORO for me, ALL THE WAY!!!

I would get the Super Duty and yes that is a fair price.
Toro who? Hustler is the best!

I have a Super Duty 48/23 Kaw and that's right around what I paid for it in August. It's a great mower--you'll be happy with it.

I bought a 36" commercial ztr. I only had it to about 60 hours. I was lucky if I could get that mower off my trailer. Plus, if I could get it off, I would need to pray to God to keep it running long enough to get it back on my trailer. I traded it for a 32" TORO W/B & I LOVE toe TORO! My Z is also a TORO. If you want to read about my NUMEROUS problems with the HUSTLER, do a search. TORO is for me! If you have different feelings, thats fine/great, but I LOVE TORO!!!:waving:

In my area (southern IN) those prices are a little high, I purchased a new 2008 24/52" honda powered super mini for $5,999.99 and the dealer still has a 24/52" honda mini for $5,599.00, it pays to shop around! call or visit as many dealors as possible, oh and dont let people sway you away from hustler, I love mine and have had zero issues.

I'll add another thing - dealer support for HUSTLER or anything else s*cks!!!! So maybe that's why I love TORO. ZERO problems.

Was your 52 a demo? That price you said you bought it for is below dealer cost.

Your dealer sucks, mine is awesome. Although I haven't had any issues with the Hustler. My dealer carries Hustler and Toro. I compared them side by side and the Toro doesn't come close to the quality of the Hustler.

makes a difference in price whether the dealer buys several trailer loads or just a few units, big price difference.

I think someone may have tinkled in Molawns cereal. My dealer carries Hustler and he is great not just to me but to all of us. Dealer is key in your decision. It sounds like you have a fair price and if your dealer puts you at ease with it then go for it, but I would definitely shop around just to make sure nobody has a demo or something that you might be able to get a little cheaper...

Yes its a fair price, Its under the normal promo price. And much under MSRP. Go with the SD for what your doing.

Tinkled in my cereal..... Funny analogy...... This guy asked a question, I answered with my opinion & because of that I'm an a-hole. Funny how that works isn't it?

My father-in-law has a 54" FasTrak and it would run circles around the Toro 52" with Turbo Force deck I just sold and delivered a better cut.. In my opinion the Turbo Force deck is the worst cutting deck I have ever used, that is why I sold it. I plan on buying another Hustler to replace the Toro. I've been playing with the FasTrak a little and really like the cut. Cuts almost as good as my Super Z with the XR7 deck. I don't think you can go wrong with a Hustler.

The QOC was one of the biggest problems that I had with the Hustler. But, that was in my area on my accounts. In your area, on your accounts the QOC may be awesome. I had to cut EVERY on of my accounts 2-4 times in different directions to get a good cut. With ALL of my Toros, it's one pass $ I'm done. That's why good dealers offer demos, but most of the dealers that I have over here WILL NOT allow a demo & I'm not going to drive half way across the state for a demo. You need to demo the machines before you buy them!

Get the Superduty, thats the same price I got quoted here in town, I know they are cheaper in other areas. Depends where your located?

Hustlers are great, I've never had a problem.

2008 Super Z 72" RD - 400 hours (had 0hrs in april)
2007 Fastrack 48" - 150 hours (small yards only)
2005 Super Z 60" - 1100? hours (main mower)

Not a single problem on any of them. Had a JD that crapped out at 500 hours, and I will never use a Toro again. Haven't put alot of hours on any other brand mowers.
