I'm looking for a polished nickel pathway light for a customer to match the lights on their home. Anyone know of any manufacturers that make one. I may just have to find a stainless steel one if not.

Thank you

I have never seen a polished nickel path light but that doesn't mean you cannot have one made for you. Contact Nightscaping and ask if they will do it. I had them make me some 18K Gold pathlights in the past. They are very willing and able to do customized orders.

If you need Stainless Steel, then look to Hunza or Intense Lighting (although I dont know how many SS Pathlights you will find on the shelf)

Regards.

You may want to check with www.auroralight.com. They have a line of outdoor "table lamps" that is available in nickel. They may be willing to work with you to produce some pathlights. Auroralight is high end product; it will be pricey but the product is excellent.

Michael Joye is the President and product designer. Asking him the question will cost you nothing.

Kichler makes a brushed nickel path light that is quite beautiful. I have used it on a couple of jobs to match existing 120v fixtures and door hardware.

At the ASLA show a couple of weeks ago, I saw finishes on Unique and Focus fixtures that looked to have a nickel or stainless look to them. Hopefully Joey from Unique can chime in and offer more insight. I'd like to get my hands on a couple of fixtures in these finishes to see how well they will work with stainless or nickel hardware.

This finish seems to be high on the wish lists of many homeowners, especially those that are creating outdoor kitchens with stainless appliances or those with modern hardware for entryways.

We have Polished Nickle, Chrome, and all of our new PVT finishes.....We can powder coat a brushed nickle finish which would be much cheaper than a PVT Dynasty series fixture or having it dipped....contact me for more details......We can do any finish you desire!

Here are the pics I sent to Joel. i figured you guys might be interested in seeing what i ws talking about. I noticed I had a typo above but the first few pics are of our PVD metal plating finish. This is a forever finish that goes over our brass fixtures. These finishes will never rust, patina, or tarnish. A little cleaner and they will buff right back up to their origional shine! The PVD finishes will be the main feature of our Dynasty Series of Fixtures which will soon be released for specifiaction.

This is the Titanium Knight powder coat finish.....This is a really nice powdercoat finish that is a lot less expensive than the PVD finish. You can put this on the copper or brass.

Joey, you said in your first post here that you have "polished nickle" fixtures. I wasn't aware of this! Can you show us samples of them?

Thanks.

Joey, that PVD finish is quite handsome. What will be the charge for that.

I couldnt find any pictures. We dont keep inventory of special fixtures such as a dipped Chrome or nickle light, I thought I might have one fixture to shoot a picture of but dont. The closest I could find was our stainles steel like PVD finish and our Titanium Knight powder coat finish. We can do it though, we have it dipped just as a faucet or door knob manufacturer would do. The last job we sold with that finish actually went to Canada to a very large modern styled home in Ontario.

As you see below actual Brushed Nickle is not that far away from the finishes I have shown above......

I am not sure yet Kirk. There will be a premium to those fixtures though. It will be a standard finish for our Dynasty line which we are brining out specificlly for the Specification Market. These fixtures will have very "Unique" features which will include a special coating on lenses to prevent "pooling" similar to a rain X style coating but permanent. They will also have an interior coating on the lenses that will help eliminate reflective glare. The larger fixtures such as area lights and our more robust up lights will come standard with our Zero G Docking Post (perma post) which will be nice as well. I will keep you informed once we officially release the Dynasty line.

Pihta, I will verify what PVD stands for. I think I rememebr but I dont want to butcher it. Once the rest of the company arrives (still only 6:30 am here) I will get with out product manager and verify!!

Benefits ae that you have this very strong plated finish that will never patina or weather. This finish will always clean up to its origional shine and look. It is a vacume applied plating that is very very strong!!! I will get more technical detail along with the PVD definition.
