Looks like a replica of Honda actually, in my opinion.

I was not aware that Honda had a plastic deck. When did they change?

Not only does it look like a Honda, but the spec/feature list reads like Honda. A key piece of information missing from the list is machine weight.

It is a Honda...re-badged.

It also reminds me of Eastman Industries mowers.

Saw it at expo, it may look like a honda but it is not a honda. Get up close to it and it looks like a pos. Lets face it, nobody is going to make a mower as good as the hrc216hxa. And on top of that they want to sell it for more than the honda. Go back to the drawing board hustler.

Oh Grits! It IS NOT a re-badged Honda. See any difference besides the color.

Check the Kaaz website and you will find a model almost identical to the Hustler!

I agree that it is no Honda and more of a Chinese rip of of the old Honda Masters deck.

I wonder if they are using Hondas BBC system or if it is a rip off as well.

Ok. I am just telling you what my dealer told me. He went to Hustler Days and this is what he was told, I believe. I am about to go out to dinner with my dealer, so I will confirm if this is true.

I got some literature for the new Hustler 21" hand mower today. It weighs more than 134 pounds. The transmission is a two-speed gear drive. Ground speeds are 1.0 and 2.2 mph. It has a blade-brake drive for the blade.

I have a marketing piece on the machine if anybody has more questions. The weight is about 10 pounds more than a Honda, so it must not be an exact duplicate.

Take a look at Eastman's striping mower with the rear bag. You'll notice a lot of similarities between it and the Hustler. I saw the Hustler at GIE, seems very well built and sturdy but wonder how well it cuts. It even has a shaft drive tranny like the Honda's.

Some obvious difference between the specs: (Eastman vs. Hustler)
1. Weight - 118# vs. 134#
2. Maximum cut height - 3.0" vs. 3.25"
3. Bag capacity - 2.1 cu ft vs. 2.7 cu ft
4. Ground drive transmission - 1 speed vs. 2 speed

zman -- I took specs off the ST21K. I should have used the SP21K. The SP is a 3 speed, and the weight is 130#.

My mistake. Thank you for pointing this out.

this thing is a Tonda. twin blade mulch system, shaft drive deck, Honda GXV, but it's like toro with the cast aluminum deck and gear drive transmission
