If you don't mind me asking what do they go for brand new. I've used the mini Bobcat and a Boxer before but never the Dingo.

Every thing looks clean, good job. The only concern i have is the spacing at maturity?

A new one goes for around $22,000 for a tx 420 with the narrow tracks with bucket. I bought my used with the standard bucket for 8,000 and its a 2006. I dont know how i did jobs before with out it,it just saves so much time.

a guy has a 525 on this site for sale, you may want to look into that.

if it wasnt for that dingo that would have been a all day project with lots of four letter words.

Just planted 24 arbovities and some mulch.

How much did you charge the customer?

Nice job! However, imo, the customer should have used half as many arbs and used the money to renovate his lawn...ouch! Looks like grub city 'neath them blades, don't it? ;)

He wanted to hide the bottom of the fence because its off the ground 2ft in some spots its the worst fence job ive ever seen lol... yeah he does have grubs i tried to get him to sod his lawn but he wouldnt go for it...

Well there emerald arborvitae's so they dont grow wide they just grow upwards.I planted them ball to ball because he wanted to hide the bottom of the fence.

Emeralds should be spaced 5-8' center to center depending on application. They do grow in width. I see crowding and dead insides within 2-3 years.

Initial job looks decent though.

I like the contrast of Black and Green!

Also a Dingo525 Is not 30K!!!!!

I can get one new from my dealer for under 22K

spacing is the only thing that would concern me on that one too, however it does look good and i would imagine that dingo made life easier, i prolly would have planted every other one although we all kno that customers are like 5 yr olds when it comes to stearing them in a different direction

i think it looks good. in the 1st pic i thought it was brown mulch, which IMO would ahve looked better than the black.

as far as spacing, i would have gotten them as close together as possible w/ the intention of removing every other tree in 3-5 years. that would give the customer the screen they want now, as well as provide a way to hide the fence at maturity of the trees and still have healthy trees.

Like i said he wanted to hide the bottom of the fence as much as possible and i did suggest spacing them apart but his wife wanted them as close a possible. Goes to show you the wife always gets whats she wants lol.

BeautifulBlooms

Those trees are already touching, is the plan to cut every other one down as they get bigger???? And if the fence is doing the screening why do they need all those arbs there??

Just a few questions I had when I saw the pic, but everything looked well done.

buddy 90% of the time we use arborvitae's as a privacy border and plant them ball to ball and never had one die,and the soil around here has so much rocks and clay we only plant half in the ground then build the beds up with soil. here's pics of arborvitae's that we planted ball to ball and right up against a pvc fence 7yrs ago and not 1 died so....

you must be doing it right ,just jobs like that in ohio dont work to good with the fence and planting so close together , something about not enough sunlight ....and most the rain not getting to the roots ...

Nice job,

I saw some of your posts about the toro dingo 525 being 22k. I just bought my brand new 525 dingo and paid 18,500 for it. I even got a bucket for free. Maybe we get better deals in Virginia?
