Ive seen the benefits of almost all of the, but with their high cost, i cant see how they can make companies more profit unless using them for a few years, at least to replay their high cost 50-65k?
I mean they ONLYhelp with loading wheelbarrels etc. We also considered a 43k finn mulch blower on a trailer, but then we'd need TWO trucks for hauling mulch and towing this trailer, PLUS you need a small loader to load the damn thing, so id need a long BIG trailer to load this 43k blower mulcher trailer on a bigger trailer and then get our little loader up behind it to each site... I mean using any of these methods over just a truck or dump trailer, its not too much better considering a monthly payment of around $900+ month plus interest for 60 months! ouch.

I personally think these are good machines for those of us who put out lots of mulch. They only downside I think are the fact they're on trailers, I think a truck mounted unit would be much more productive because (at least for us) when you're wheel-barreling mulch the last thing you want to have to do is do everything from the street and these trailers are simply too large for your average employee to get down a drive way. I know mulch mule has something setup where you can put it on a hooklift or SNG and that'd be the better way to go I'd think.

Yeah that would be great, except youd need a huge truck to mount it right?
With the empty weight plus 10-15 yards of mulch in one, even a mini mule probably is too heavy for even an F550 or gmc 4500 truck at 19.5k? Were then looking into F650s at least and up goes all of your costs and the truck again is just too big for most places.

I've been looking at the cost of these trailers as well, and I agree that if you have mulch to throw all year it might be a worthy investment. But if you only throw mulch during the off season like us it's hard to recover the $52-$65K that the trailer costs.
On the Mulch mule website they offer a truck mounted model on an Isuzu platform.
