Hi all,
As some of you might know, Whoopassonthebluegrass and I are related. I married his sister... BoooYaaah. Anyway, he has some clients which own a big fancy 8 bedroom cabin at Bear lake, on the Utah/Idaho border. He does some trade work, in exchange for them letting us use the cabin. It is great fun! We have gone up there every year now for 3 or 4 years. We always go in Aug. when the lake is warm. This year, they needed a fall clean up, so we went last week. Here are some pics.
Whoop, and 3 of his boys, me and the Mrs, and my son, on a mountain above the lake.

coming up the mountain, my wife, with one of Whoop's boys, and my daughter, Whoop and 2 of his boys.

Wheelin' on a narrow mountain path through an aspen forest, very pretty

A few more pics...
Whoop and I are seeing how fast the fourwheeler I am on can go, 44mph as it turned out. Not nearly as fast as my Kawasaki.

Whoop and his lil sister

Swimming. It was dang cold. Air temps were mid 50s in the day and low 20s at night. IDK how cold the lake was, but me and my daughter, and the dogs, were the only ones to brave the water. BBRRRRRRR.
123490
Probably the worst pic ever of Whoop's wife, aka Ilookgoodingreen.... sorry. It was the only one I had, Whoop's dad is also in the pic.

Ahh come on what about the helmets? For the picture taking and slow little trails maybe not but if you are seeing how fast they go then you need a helmet.

Looks like a great time. I love atv's and dirtbikes. My buddy has a polaris atv and it is pretty fast, but he still can't beat me on my honda dirtbike!
What, only 44 on a 4-wheeler? phhh, I topped out a Honda 4w once at 56! lol not the brightest thing I ever did (yes I had a helmet).
Cool pics, LawnTamer.

Yeah, it's all my fault they live out here. They were living in the Stone Mtn GA area, Lithonia to be precise, when I met his oldest sister at college. They moved to Seattle, then my wife and I more or less talked his parents into coming to Utah and doing a lawn business. I think we all love it here though.

Yeah, we should have thrown some on. We have 5 of them. The trails were pretty slow and easy. We didn't have enough for all our kids and Whoop's kids. Though 44 isn't that fast for us. My Kawasaki can beat that in my back yard.

One of the stupidest things I've ever done... Gone 130 on a motorcycle. I was fairly inexperienced and young, no helmet. I am lucky to be alive. It wasn't even like a bullet bike.
The Polaris that Whoop is riding tops out at about 50, our Kawasaki can hit 60 with a wind at your back.

Man, that sure is beautiful out there. I have a nephew (cool as they come) that is living out there in Salt Lake. He went to school originally as a rescue climber, and has been all over the world basically, for his climbing schools (New Zealand to Canada's ice climbing). He is now into geo sciences, and is still attending school, and just recently got a job out there as a "mud driller". I guess they drill down and take core samples for research of some sort. What exactly it is used for, I don't know, as I haven't talked to him since he started this job. I will ask him when he comes back in a few weeks (I THINK he'll be back here). :)

He is shooting at a plastic water bottle on an empty clay pigeon box. There are also 3 more adults just out of the picture to the right.

The one in the pic is a 10/22 with a 3-9power scope. It is the most accurate 22 I have ever owned, (I have owned a lot of them). For the adults, I brought my 22/45 auto pistol and my 870 super mag.

This is me with my 1st, 2nd, and 4th boys. I'm not sure what my oldest is wearing on his head. Something dear Auntie loaned him. And # 2 is wearing my trimming glasses, so it's entirely possible that he couldn't see a thing the whole time.

That last pic is sweet. I like the big mark on my forehead from swimming into the side of the pool. (note to self, don't swim under water with your eyes closed, even if there is a ton of chlorine in the water)

Believe it or not, it is all more fun with wives and kids, brothers and sisters. The older I get, the more I realize how lucky I am to have lots of family, that I actually like doing stuff with.
Though there aren't pics of it, one of the best parts of this annual get together is when Whoop breaks out his guitar, and we sit around the cabin, or the fire pit and sing songs.

I shouldn't share this... but my first crush was my cousin. SHE WAS ADOPTED, but still, kinda creepy huh. She was my first kiss too, not much of one, I was maybe 10, saved up my nickels and pennies, whatever a poor 10 year old can and bought her something or other fairly nice for Christmas, like a real gift, she gave me a little kiss. At the time I thought that was the best investment I had ever made. She was 12... you know, an older woman:laugh::laugh: very pretty though, long, straight, strawberry blond hair, with natural highlights from the summer sun, cute face, blue-green eyes and just a few freckles on each cheek.
Her family moved to Washington about a month later, the next time I saw her, she was married with 2 kids, still very good looking. Makes me wonder what mighta happened had we all been living in Alabama:laugh::laugh:

Actually, it's kind of a contest to keep them in line and productive. The most supportive, best cooking, best cleaning of the bunch gets to bring HER kids and come with. Almost the way we use Santa over children.

All my wives would never fit on a schoolbus, I lost count at 228 or something. I live off ibuprofen and have actually built up an immunity to cyanide. I don't think that ANY of Whoop's other wives could fit on a school bus, what with that narrow little door and all, even if you modified the door, he's be limited to 3 or 4 wives because of weight.

No, we are both lawn boys. If you don't believe it, check our farmer tans.
Whoop doesn't really have 14 mega obese wives, just one, who is quite thin, but fairly tall.
I don't have 228+ wives, just one, but as any married man can tell you, one can sometimes feel like more than one.
I really did kiss my ADOPTED cousin though, that story was 100% true.
