Really, I wonder if that's something new? Years and years worth of pics are one here. I don't see the harm if your not a competitive manufacturer stealing design ideas.

There was a sign... but I saw plenty of pictures being taken.
I was at the Grasshopper area outside talking to a pretty nice rep. but when he walked away another GH Rep walked up and asked me very nicely to stop taking pictures.

Here's what I got before I put my cheap digital camera away.

BTW, if the planes were any closer, you could almost see the rivets on the body! ;)

I also wanted to see the NEW 12' Super Lawn Truck. It was very nice, but a 14' version would have been a little better for my uses, and the ramp was pretty steep!!

Their larger 16', crew cab unit was a little too big for what I need, and the side door was a real PIA to get in and out of the box quickly... the stairs are pretty shallow.
The ramp was very nice, and I'd NEVER want to trip coming out of the box. The "anti-slip" coating on the ramp is so aggressive, you'd go thru your work pants, let alone your skin, in a heart beat!!!

SLT didn't have any actual printed specs on the 12' truck, but I'm guessing the the width of the rear door was between 6'-0 and 6'-6.

I believe that I heard that the SLT cost on the new 12' is about $36 - 38K.
That's probably the bare bones price.

On the GMC website, the GVW on this truck is about 9,600 pounds.
That doesn't leave too much weight for the actual equipment??
Like I said earlier, there wasn't a printed sheet with specs!

I dont have other pics now I dont think I will check. I actually bought the ramp off of a fellow on here, but it was all messed up so we had to redo the entire thing. The hydraulic system was very different than my SLT, but it was ok. Now I want it like my SLT so I am going to redo the entire hydro system. The box is a 14'er on the back of a 98 ford E-350 van front. Pretty nice little set up for our smaller properties. The ramp between the rails isn't used, but I figure I would keep it there just in case we ever need it for anything. The ramp we welded up or probably about 12' or so long when its folded down. Let me see if I can get a pic.

Sorry dont mean to knock the thread off track.

I was able to talk to a very informative Deere rep at GIE.
I asked about the "fixes" that Deere has now told dealers NOT to install.
He was very honest, and told me that if I needed a mower for steep hills or high grass, he'd probably wait until after the 1st of the year.
That could be a nice way of saying "I can't tell you what's happening within Deere, but something new might be here soon!?"

i only took a few pics this year. Didnt go friday because of the rain, and was busy thursday so only took those few. You can basically take pics whenever you want unless they ask you not to. Last year i took about 400 of everything, the indoor KOHLER rep lady asked me to not take any more pictures of any of their engines on display... sucks because they had a badass display and nice engine stuff. oh well their loss.

Anyone get any of the three Artic sectional plow girls in their black outfits on Saturday? The g/f was next to me the whole time and was already taking a verbal beating with my comments haha. They were the best of the show though!

what did they say about the cub?

Got to drive one. It just slows down and eventually reverses one of the drive wheels the more you turn the steering wheel. You can execute a smooth zero turn easily. I see where putting a novice operator on the Tank would be easy as opposed to the learning curve of a twin stick ZTR. I was talking to one of the Cub reps outside and he said you can get it on a 20-25 degree incline safely. it is a smooth driving mower. The rep was right. He said if you can drive an automobile, you can drive the Tank S very easily.

Basically, same thing as the Exmark Next Lazer Z. What I found interesting was Exmark had a press conference 8am at their booth the first day of the show, to unveil the Next Lazer Z. They had key staff from R&D and Engineering on hand to speak about the innovations of the NLZ, and also showed about a 10 minute video presentation of the mower and field testing. Toro's G3 Z-Master, was just there at the Toro booth. No fanfare...no nothing. But they are the same machines except for colors, logos, and decks. Here's the G3:

Those were the first generation hydro walkbehinds, pre-Trimstar, that didn't have the forward speed control lever. From what I heard, you have to roll the grips forward to go forward. Same type of controls that were also on the discontinued Shortcut.

Hmm. The first generation Trimstars made it virtually impossible to do that because they have a guard for the hydros that hits the curb first.
I hope they changed that on the new ones.

However I agree that is the way to tackle a curb normally.

My guys want me to sell the new 2008 48" Hustler WB because of this darn curb jumping issue. These are very experienced guys. I couldn't believe it so I tried it, and you have to really wrestle this beast up a curb. It will be a welcoming change if this has been rectified!

The rear wheels are larger than the front wheels, so it is a bit easier to get the wheel up over the curb.

Not sure what you mean by wheelie.
If you mean that you put the front wheels in the air, and land them on the other side of the curb, I'm sure that's not good for the frame of the rider or for the hydros. (I'm thinking riders here, walks are a different story as you can actually lift the front off the ground with your weight. I generally mount curbs front first with walks and back first with riders)

It will throw thr balance of the deck off on your rider and probably your hydro or wb.

It was the debut of the PivoTrim PRO, the commercial grade version of the PivoTrim. It is a replacement trimmer head with 'pivoting posts' that make trimming in general significantly easier, but along chain link fence and other obstacles hassle-free! It is designed for straight shaft trimmers, but will mount to curved shaft trimmers (although they need to have a little large engine size so it won't bog down the trimmer).

This product is for gas trimmers, not riding mowers. It is also shown with only 1 line in place because of packaging limitations. You would run the PRO with either 2 or 4 lines placed opposite each other to maintain balance.
