View Full Version : Name that Installation Error!

Hey all. I hang out in the irrigation forum pretty much all the time, so I'm branching out a bit.

At one of our maintenance accounts, we have problems in one of the parks with long patches of grass, and water is not the issue. This aerial shot says it all. Trivia- Whats the issue with the grass. Hint- Someone F'd up at install time.

Criticizing the competition instead of just taking care of the problem,
unless that was not present at the time you took on the account,
if this came about while you had the account then you should have the
customer of that company call the company who made the error and have
them fix it, tell them to do it the way it should have been done.
And even if the problem was already there when you took over...
If someone else skru'd it up they need to fix it, so hold them responsible for their actions,
call them up, tell them to come back out and do it right this time.
Because we're just wasting time pointing at pictures and laughing at others.

Different types of turf??? The darker patches look to be cool season grass, and the darker more a warm season.

The only other thing I can see is if the soil was prepped wrong, and the streaks are better areas of soil.

White Gardens hit it. Soil was dropped by truck at the top of the streak, spread straight back. Rest of the park got little to none.

As always, Topsites, thanks for playin along.

To me the giveaway on the soil was the better area closer to the houses. The one lawn that looks healthy has better grass past the fence into the park.

That was fun. I might have to gets some pics out and post them on an issue I found at a homeowners property last summer, and see if anyone can figure it out.

Decoder Ring, sounds like little orphan Annie thing to me, "you'll shoot your eye out kid".
