You do mean $35 per man hour, not $35 per hour for 3 guys right?

Maybe you should change your name to super Economy service. Just kiddin.

Where is it written that you should charge 35 per hour. For some that might be ok(per man hour). or others it could be 55 per man hour to survive, it all depends on your business.

$35.00 per man-hour would mean that, for each hour, you charge $35.00 PER MAN.

$35.00 per hour would be, per clock hour, that you charge $35.00, whether you have two guys, three guys, whatever.

I would love to know how you stay in business if you're actually charging $35.00 per clock hour. :dizzy::confused::dizzy::confused::dizzy:

Geez . . . Look at your accounts, figure out how long it takes you . .. . Do you all three mow? just two ? or just you?

these are my numbers . . (we are in this to make a profit)
1 man with a mower $55/ hr .
2nd man with a mower $45/ hr
3rd man with a trimmer $35/hr

so for me to be on a job with two guys mowing and one trimming i charge $135/hr.
Then i take that money and PAY MYSELF FIRST! I make a salary from my company then pay my guys $10/hr . . . Since i also do power washing, roof cleaning, landscaping, and window cleaning i can't really tell you what i make an hour mowing because it depends on how many other jobs i did that week . . . my base salary is only $200 per week . . . I take a low salary to GROW my business!!!

Hope this help . . ..

PS really you should start tracking your numbers . . not to be rude but you are a prime example of a co. that doesn't know there numbers and you are actually prolly loosing money, you just don't know it!

You need to figure out how much you pay them and base it off that. If you pay your help $10 per hour and you take $15 per hour, that is your $35 rate. What if equipment breaks down or you need gas to get there and run equipment. As of right now, with three people, you are doing charity work. You should be at least double what you charge to make money, or you will be going backwards. Remember the work is not easy and equipment is not cheap, so charge a fair wage to cover your expenses. I hope this helps.
