Has anyone else seen an increase of leafhoppers on lawns this year? Up to this year, I have only seen them once. But this year, esp. now, they are everywere on St Aug. and some Centipede lawns. They are easy to control with Talstar or Deltaguard. Normally see chinch bugs during the hot, dry summers, but have not seen much this year. Leafhoppers do the same damage as chinch bugs, but at a faster pace. Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem.
Thanks

Are the leafhoppers you're talking about little tiny ones? 1/8" long or so? I had a lot of those on a few properties, my common Bermuda backyard being one. What are they called and what is the damamge like? My grass looked kinda rough this summer but I was so busy I didn't pay much attention to it.

You hit the nail on the head. 1/8th of an inch, and does damage just like chinch bugs.
