Dont know another name for it, but find out that Atrazine will take care off it. Tried it on my own yard, and the Atrazine smoked it.

Doveweed, it's everywhere here mid-late summer after all the rain.

Ever see a small white flower on the DoveWeed. This is the time of year for seed formation and maybe the flowers are already gone and it now has seed heads. Doveweed is a dicot annual and therefore not really a Monocot grassy weed. The pre-post emerge of Atrazine should get it. I am going with Weed & Feed on St Augustine spring and fall and I am having no Doveweed.

I have a hard time believing any one let alone a Certified Professional would plant Bermuda in St Augustine. I have been fighting Bermuda taking over in my St Augustine lawns for years. Prograss & Atrazine only suppress Bermuda and at the cost of Prograss it is cheaper to re-sod.
Tower is a BASF Pre Emerge and is the only thing I know of that lists Doveweed on the Label. Since I don't have a problem with Doveweed I don't use Tower or any thing else other than my standard Weed & Feed program. While Atrazine gives a quicker kill when sprayed, Weed Feed Granules take longer to show response but does a better job of controlling weeds.

I've heard people call it spreading dayflower but that's a different weed. Don't know of any other names for it other than that.
