need help with per man hr. will be doing by myself. I will blow out all the mulch beds etc with backpack blower. then use a 13 hp push blower to finish up and tarp the rest. how much per hr? most work is in a gated private community. I was charging $45 per hr. with the backpack blower only, the push blower seems to make things alot fast i was thinking around $65 per hr now what u think?

also how do you guys price cleaning gutters?>

I'm usually looking a hundred or so for gutters on your average home.

65 sounds good to me

We are starting up and im not sure what kind of town/ city your from but the average person here bring home 300-350 a week in a mill for 40 hours. And we figured it up and after expenses and paying us we will have put like $17-20 back into business acct from that hour..

WOW!! if i dont make $500 per day theres no use of working. I wouldnt work for anything less than $45 per hr lawn work.

Well maybe thats a diffrence in just starting out and been doing it awhile with big equiment. I mean as long as we make $12 a hour in our pockets and business acct comes out 10+ more each hour job we do it will grow.. Maybe thats way u get when you worked for $8 a hour taxed for so long i dunno..

Dunno maybe we should raise it up to around 65 hour for both of us.. Just we are not sure what people charge in this area. But we have decided that 60% of the profits out of that week get split into 2 so we get a check at end of week a peaice for %30 of the profits we made, The other 40% goes into business acct for expenses and saving into business acct.
Thats are plan i mean we are more worried right now that the business acct get built up befor we start to take a bigger cut like 35-40% a peaice. If u get what im saying.

This is my 3rd year in the business. I work diligently. I dont take breaks. I do the job right and do it to perfection. I want a good rate to where i am not cheating myself or cheating the clients. I will be blowing out the beds etc then using the push blower to pile everything up then using tarps to either dump in the woods or charge extra for hauloffs.

Does this price of $65 per man hour sounds reasonable with the equipment that i have?

i also have a trac vac for inbetween mowings until the real cleanups is time i usually charge 2x the mow for that. (ie. mow=$50, trac vac pickup with leaves =$100) how does these rates sounds?

We also want a to find a good rate where we will not be cheating ourself or our clients. I just dont see it flying around here with 90% the poeple if we charged 90+ for a hour job. But like i said im not sure what the going rate is around here..

And we also want to strive for perfection, if your going to do something do it right!
