NICE START!

Is Canton anywhere near Jackson? I have a landscapin' friend there.

You seem to have nice equipment for starters. That will help more than you know.

Good Luck!

Sign lots of annual agreements, then you'll be whhhoo hooin' in the winter!

Way to go man. I don't know the whole story, but I think if you got ten accounts in one day you may be quite low on pricing. Like I say, I don't know all the logistics but those are pretty good numbers for one day. Good luck with things though and hope they work out for you.

If you ever need some good help, My best friend lives in Flora (Jackson area). He helped me start my business here in FL 2 years ago. I go up there every other month to ride motorcycles.

Let me know if I can do anything

Yah, I am curious to know how you got 10 in one day as well? I am helping a good friend of mine start a lawn care business right now and he'll begin laying flyers, etc. next week. But I've never seen anyone land 10 account in one day. I am interested in how you got so many so fast.

Either way, you are to be congratulated! You're off to a great start!

Tim, would you like a position as marketing director in Northern Virginia, at ten new accounts a day we could make alot of money. Just kidding, anyway congratulations and best of luck to you.

Yeah, Tim, don't hold out! What's your marketing secret?

Did you buy these from another service? ;)

Yeah, what's the secret recipe? :)

I picked up 9 my first day but I got lucky on the timing.

I put out about 75 flyers around my neighborhood (late Feb. too) and one of the ladies that called me told me her lawn service was no longer going to be in business.

I went and talked to her, agreed on the price...and had a nice neighborly chat too. She is a real nice lady and lives about a block from my house.

I guess she was more impressed with my 'social skills' than anything else because she went back into her house and called all of the other people that she knew that used her previous lawn service (they all go to the same church)...and my phone was ringing the rest of the afternoon. That one flyer (and friendly chat) turned into 9 accounts before the end of the next day. :D

I picked up 4 more over the next few days off that initial 75 flyers as well.

Over the last 2 seasons those original 13 clients have brough me about 10 more...the rest came from an ad in my neighborhood newspaper.

My tip to new guys???

Do good work, be dependable...and SMILE AND BE FRIENDLY!

I suppose grandma was right when she said..."Play Nice!"

...they all go to the same church...

Just remember that this door swings two ways. If you screw up, they will fire you the same way.

Good luck.

"Just remember that this door swings two ways. If you screw up, they will fire you the same way".

I guess I had better keep that 'smile thing' working, huh? :)
