I am not planning on doing any leaf cleanups so I am selling my used Trac-Vac. It is a model 580. It has a 5 hp Briggs engine. I have had it for the past several years and it has always been garage kept since I have owned it. I used it today for the first time this year on the one and only yard that I needed it for and made quick money with it. After sitting all year, it started on the first pull. These sell for close to $3000 new now a days. I am asking $1000 for mine. Save yourself a couple of grand and buy this. Its not the prettiest but you don't buy pretty, you buy function.

Bumping this up. This can take hours off your cleanup times.

I can't believe that no one is interested in this. This can save you hours, especially if you are doing a cleanup on your own. No heavy tarps to drag. Not only does this suck up the leaves and grass, but also chops it all up and reduces it so it can hold more for less dumping.

What part of In are you in. May have some interest if you are in the Northern part.

That is alot closer for me. I am bidding on one right now, won't know for sure till late next week if I am the high bidder. I have never seen a green trac vac before, always brown and red with silver. Do you have the piece that goes to the mower deck?

Regards Mike

I have the piece that goes on my ferris mower for it. All those are mower specific so you probably need to either make something or order one. I would be happy to give you mine if you buy it.

I was going to put mine on ebay but thought I would save myself the fees and just do it on here.

Any interest at all? I just used this on a yard that took about 30 minutes with this or about 4 hours of blowing and tarping. Either way I did it, I was getting paid $200 to do it. I pick the trac vac.

OK. Time to bump this up. I stored it all winter long, in my garage as always. None of my equipment ever sits outside. This is still for sale and just in time for spring cleanups. PM me or send me an email through my website. Thanks.

Ok, I am sure that someone out there is in need of this trac-vac. This will work great for picking up and mulching last falls leaves in your spring cleanup. It holds alot also so there are less dumps. Last time I started it, it started first pull.

Well, If I wanted to pay your asking price I could, but I don't think that it is worth that price.

That thing is well worth the money he is asking !:hammerhead:

Did you actually think I would say "oh what the hell, why not take 85% off my asking price" Come on. I was born on a day, but it wasn't yesterday. You can do a couple of leaf cleanups and it pays for itself.

Tom's is selling something in another thread, go there and lowball him :)

Nevertheless, I'm pretty local. If I land a couple contracts I'm hoping for, I may contact you with a REASONABLE offer.

I agree! I have the same exact model, the 580. I used to run it on an older JD lawn tractor but now have switched it over to my Gravely 260 and on both mowers it kicks but on clean-ups, the only small thing I can think of is when I switched it over to the Gravely with the 31 hp and 60" deck, it can fill up quick and I might try to customize a new larger bind but nonetheless, it's filling up quick because it's cleaning up quick! I also have the remote extension kit, which gives me about 20' of hose to clean out beds and such which is nice AND fast!

Exactly. You will do a fraction of the physical work with this. I used it with my 48" Ferris and did alot of cleanups with it. No tarps to drag.

OK people, I still have this and just used it last week. First pull start up. Never fails. After having thought about the price I was asking last year, I am coming down to $700obo. I also have this on craigslist so I am sure this is going to sell fast. Let me know asap. Thanks.

This is a steal. Wish I was closer. Just bought a cyclone rake but would have jumped at this at $700.

I don't believe someone will pass up quality for some cheap craftsman junk. If that were the case then none of the big companies that make mowers would be in business. Why would someone spend 12k on an Exmark when they could spent 2k on a craftsman. Why? QUALITY. Commercial grade equipment built to last.

yeah I highly doubt anyone is opting for the craftsman. You may check out ebay though for an idea, I saw yours new for $1800. Didn't see any used ones but maybe it'll help for a reference.

Yeah, I am selling mine for a third of the new price, and while it no longer looks new, it starts on the first pull and does the job it was made for.
