blew exmark hydro belt, which cut pto wires, no crank after reconnecting wires

I blew a hyrdo belt on my exmark, which cut the 2 pto wires, the machines blades were running when this happened. There was enough wire running off the the pto where I could reconnect everything. However, THe mower still will not crank over its completely dead. I beileve the mower still feels the blades are on and will not start. Is there a need to "restart" these machines somehow. Thanks for any help.

I had the same thing happen just abou 2 months ago. cost me a new pto. the wires cannot be fixed. if its under warrentee it should be covered, mine was..

check the fuse.. probably blew it. And as long as the wires are reconnected and the clutch works there is no need to change the wires.

yes there was enough wire from the pto left to reconnect everything, I'm having trouble finding what fuse or the location of which one to check. Thanks guys.

Check to make sure all of your safety switches are connected?

if there is only 2 20 amp fuses could the relays need to be checked or replaced
