Didn't watch the vid, but what's with the "modded mufflers" on the saws? Did I read that correctly that you drilled holes in the mufflers? Is this a standard or recommended practice? Does it really have any benifits other than making the saw be heard for 6 blocks?

I realize that mufflers, especially newer ones that have catilitic converters in them, are restrictive, but they are also usually larger and have been engineered by the engine mfg. to preform...

yea im not the best on camera. working on it though.

and no mower. its at my parents house. Im more into chainsawing and blowing more then anything. actually chainsawing is my favorate thing to do. so relaxing.

as for edging and trimming just at parents house and for a lady next door. Also blowing. My stepdad cuts the grass and blows off our driveway after (I leave handheld blower there)

eh I live in a condo. use them whenever I can. Nice to have someone cut here besides me!

and just chainsaws muffler modded. handheld blower, edger and trimmer soon!

Ok, I doubt it's any of my business, but... If you don't have a lawn service, and you don't have much work with the saws (I don't see a truck, bucket, climbing rigs, etc.) What is there to blow, other than leaves? (but you need something to haul all those leaves)

Anyway, do you have another job besides making videos of sthil equipment running? Costs a LOT of money to rent a condo and pay bills!

yea i have another job. this is just a hobby really (help parents out). Have a couple of jobs with the saws and blowers coming up though little bit of extra money!

You need like 10 acres out there in Georgia. With a bunch of trees and stuff that would keep you busy for a while. I would give anything to live up there in the country. I need to mod my 290, you should make a thread on here explaining how to do it, with pics and stuff cuz I have no clue. I need to start getting saw work again other wise I'm gonna sell mine, it just sits on the shelf in my shop.

we use to have 90 acres in new york. 8 acres lawn, big driveway, front end loader with bushhog, 2 riding mowers, other stuff (not stihl).

I miss it sometimes.

You know what I was thinking of moving back to country someday. but just a lot of work. I like my condo.

I do have some chainsaw jobs coming up here soon. And leaf cleanup.
