Anybody get those new galaxy beefy baby tires? Suppose to be galaxys new tire lasting atleast 1000-1200 so they say. I have had great luck with the galaxy hulk tires which lasted me double of what any other tire would last me.
what kind of tires are you guys running on your skids?

I have run nothing but hulks for years. Can't imagine anything lasting as long, however, I'm at only 175 hrs on my new machine and I can really tell that the extra weight on the S330 is causing extra wear (though i stripped it down to 8800 lbs) and put on 12 x 16.5's.

tell me about the beefy baby's. What ply rating.

My dad has The beefy baby's on his 1845's.

Have been there since new and the loaders have about 1400 ish hours on them now. A few have been switched on/off with spares over time. The ones that have been on there the entire time are just about completely bald.

What really is making it time for new tires is the fact that even the ones with ~50% tread leak like crazy and are not repairable as they have the goey inner liner that was intended to seal up leaks. It worked well but I think over the last 7 years it has hardened, dried, and become inable to do it's job.

We will replace the tires this winter and get whatever the dealer installed sealant is. It is some sort of industrial stop leak similar to slime. Still allows for hole repair from the inside.

We will go with the beefy baby again unless someone has a better reccomendation for a standard HD ag tread skid steer tire....

Tires are not cheap anymore but I didn't realize skid steer tires were that much. I would be looking into seeing about retreads if virgin tires are 500 each.

Beefy Baby II's have been around a long time. My dad's 216 came with them back in '03. He finally replaced them spring of this year with a crappy set of tires that were way cheaper than the Galaxy's and got 1 season out of them, they need to be replaced already. We're going back to Galaxy, they're 3 times the price but last 4-5 times longer plus they're much more puncture resistant and have a heavier sidewall.

Bumping an old thread, where are you getting galaxy tires by us mr sops? Im due for a set this season and want to have them ready to go. I can get solideal lifemasters delivered for 1275 for 4 from tracksandtires.com. Figured it would be better if i could find a local distributor of either
