i have a 5hp briggs engine that some how got water in the carb.
its model is 130202 type 4003 code 91081407.
anyhow, i've never tried to work on a horizontal machine and i cant figure out how to remove the carb and get the water out. anyone have a diagram or can explain to me how to remove the carb. thanks.

Hi, if I'm reading the model number correctly.
Remove air filter.
Under tank remove a single bolt from the tank support bracket, it's right on the lower edge of the crankcase.
Remove the screws that secure the tank to the carb and remove tank from engine. Flush out tank and leave to dry.
If you've got access to and air line you can leave the carb on the block.
On the side there is a small plate held on by 4 screws, remove these and the coil spring and diaphragm.
Remove all mixture screws and use an airline to clean-out the carb. Fit a replacement diaphragm.
