With a ZTR front mounted spreader?
I need to give estimate for 30 bags...
Does anyone have an application price per bag?

Well..I generally do it for 10.00 a bag (including lime) .But however i use a push spreader. This may not help you at all.

Tom
Are you using a heavy rate app of a bag per m/sf or are you covering less than 30m/sf???
I would generally charge the same as Lee would for using a drop spreader. I tend to lean more towards $7 per m/sf when using a broadcast application.
Some guys will charge the same price for liming as they do for fert applications too.

Kris.. not sure what you are asking...
I will be applying 40 pounds per 1000
1,200 pounds/30,000 square feet

$7 is in line with what I was thinking.
$2.75 per bag for lime (my cost $2.40) times 30 bags equals $82.50
$82.50 doubled.. equals $165 plus $55 delivery.. total $220
make sense?

Thanks kutnkru . I use a lesco broadcast .Think i'am a lil high?looks like it ?if i have a very bad ph i'll make several apps.at different time .I once had to app 1200lbs i did it 4x@300lbs per app so the soil would absorb it correctly.is that par for the course? Thanks guys Lee

The soil can absorb alot of lime at one time. If you need to put out 1200lbs. or a ton per acre, there's no need to split the applications, put it all out at once and don't waste time. We've put up to 2 tons per acre in one application.
