Hi,

I co own my "business" with my good friend.
I am a freshman in high school and he is a softmore.
we work after school, over weekends and over the summer....

we mow yards, do fall cleanups, weed and sell fire wood in coard an 1/2 coards

we own 2 lawn mowers.....
one being a 16 hp johndeer
and the other beeing a 18hp craftsman

one homelite chain saw

and 2 leef blowers....
one being a $600 red max
$140 hasquavana

I love landscaping and hope to countiune by business and by collage have workers who do the work while I collect the$$$ :)

Good luck with it guys, I started out the same way but eventually it became my business solo. My partner went off to college and I just kept working the business. He actually is making more $$ then me cause he became an engineer, but I'm still happy with they way I went. Keep on Mowin!!

Interested to know: Are you mainly getting business by word-of-mouth? Or, what types of marketing are you all doing now?

i baught an avertisement in a local news paper...i use creigslist for the wood that i sell. lastly i print out busnes cards and go door to door asking about mowing, weeding, fall clean ups...ect.

man you sound exactly (and i mean exactly) like me and my partner we have all the same equimpment excpt ours i a little different we just inhearted a 36 bunton walk behind which we used for the last half of summer and fall how many lawns do you cut?

all of our accounts are in our neighborhood except for 2 which on those we use their mowers and our trimmers. im only 14 but when i do get a rig i hope to get a f350 with meyer plow i dono what year yet though.

I am in buisness with my buddy as well. It can be hard at times but you have to realize it cant always be your way. it has helped me learn to listen to what others have to say and how to politlty tell them how to improve on their decision. It will be alot easyer when you can drive and buy better equipment to. I am an equipment addict and most of my money goes into more equipment.
