I recently purchased a used Gravely 48" snowblower attachment for a 20 G 4-wheel lawn tractor.
I am in the process of checking it over -- removed the auger gearcase filler plug and the lube is a 'milky' color.
I am not familiar with what the color of the gear lube should be but am wondering about the 'milky' color indicating water being in the lube -- should I remove the existing lube and replace with new-- haven't found a drain plug yet. Your opinions are welcome.
