I can tell you ez-dumper is the one you want to stay away from. I have heard alot of horror stories about them. I am going to be picking one up this year for my 03 F350 srw, I plan on going with a down-easter just from browsing their site and the local dealer I can tell all their stuff is really well made.

looks neat , will it work with a leaf loader?

Depends on where it's mounted. if you have a swing away leaf vac just swing it out of way when dumping, can't use tailgate mount as tailgate goes away. you could also put on front of trailer if you are dragging one.

They start at $2700 and go up. got some options you can add later. yes, it's a nice 70 degrees outside, but cold enough to burn firewood at night. just got a new boat, going boating Friday. yes, you need to move to daytona beach, hehehehhe

GOOD: Low profile, dual cylinders, can fit factory tailgate, truck retains factory look.

BAD: Small stake pockets, pump/motor assembly bolts to the frame of the truck, so if you're plowing with the truck it could have problems with corrosion/rust etc.

I have a Truck Craft alluminum insert in my f-250. It has made work this fall a breeze. It was a great investment! The only downside is that its an expensive unit.

Do you have one of these and if so can it be fitted with a leaf box? It looks like it would be hard for a box to be mounted on top without useing the high side option from them. I guess I'm worried about the wooden box on top of the plastic sides would vibration cause it to crack?

$6 grand or so for a new one plus the headboard and tarp.
They weigh in @ 420lbs! 2 bolts and a few easy electrical connections and your up and running. Installation on my truck was completed start to finish with myself and 1 other guy with a forklift in under 1 1/2 hours.

How much? If I was to buy a dumper, It would be Aluminum.

Well, the hi-sides option is meant to be used to build the box. It has extruded PVC square tubing under all three sides of the lip of dump-pro, and has a hardware package that allows the box to "float", due to expansion and contraction. Will not crack the dump body. You supply the wood.

About 500-600 pounds.

About 500-600 pounds.

So, looks like I'd be better off with an Aluminum one then, lighter dumper = more material.

My truckcraft insert weights in at 420 lbs. Saving 300-400 lbs for material. Plus, you don't have to worry about it rusting out.

buy the long one and just put the tool box in it. then if you need the extra room you can just pull the tool box. looks better to. just the tools maybe mixed up after dumping.

I got my dump insert at Pathfinder Plow in RI. It cost me 2400 installed. But the dump is 9' instead of 8' and it has the cab protector extra chains and tarp. I put firestone airbags in the rear end of my 2003 F-250 Superduty, it takes 7 yards of mulch without sagging and dumps it NO problem:weightlifter:

I have a downeaster insert that came with cab protector and only paid $2200 for it brand new. Had to travel 6 hours total to get it,but well worth the savings. Works great and love being able to still bring my trailer with equiptment and have insert loaded with material.
