With the extreme cold weather coming very soon, I thought I would provide some info regarding these products for everyone to see. Anyone who pushes snow should pay particular attention since your tranny and rear-ends are used extremely hard in tough conditions.
Severe Gear is a very popular product when gear housing chatter is common. In extreme cases, Slip-Lock additive should be added to completely eliminate chatter. Available in 75W-90, 75W-110 & 75W-140
The ATF reduces tranny temps up to 50 degrees!!! This is very beneficial during the hot season when pulling trailers and when constantly shifting between drive and reverse when pushing snow.
Both products offer superior cold-flow properties to protect gears and bearings during cold weather start-up.
