Rotor and Drip zone valves.

ICC and pump concections. The 2" Carlson condit is taped between the two 1 1/4's just to keep the spacing and alignment through the winter. Elbows on top of 1/2 carlson elec. condit is to keep water out. Will be pouring a cement pad for the pump this spring. I have a garden box for a pump enclosure, but might look into a Hot-box. http://hot-box.com The retaining wall is poured concrete.
127254
Anouther shot of the ICC. Picture of "My best laborer" he never gets tired of digging ditches. Doesn't call in sick either.

Mainline stub out for future drip and rotors. Also will be adding a ball valve and hook up for blow out. Nice and close to street to hook up the compressor. Highest point on system as well.
127263
Drainage ditch catch basin. The 4" is a threaded clean out that I can plug. It acts as a bypass when I don't want the flow going into the storage tanks. This basin catches water that runs through a culvert under the road. Cant see the culvert in all the weeds.

Future stub out for a drip and spray zone along the wall.

Storage tanks in the rear of the house.
6" green feed from the driveway, drainage ditch and gutters on the south side of the house. 4" white is north gutters. 4" green is high level overflow drain, runs out to a pop up in the yard about 30 feet away. There is anouther 4" drain that you can't see down under the risers to the bottom of the picture that is the overflow that runs out on a drain tile to the cornfield behind my house. This spring we had a wet spring and the water was running through the drainage ditch before I had the system running. It put out so much water it stunted the corn. The farmer was pissed. This year I should be able to control that by running the system. I also added that 4" clean out next to the catch basin as a bypass if I don't want the water into the tanks. Running a sump pump to lower the tank level so it dosen't freeze over the winter. Also to give a little capacity for snow melt over the winter. I'm going to cover the manholes with a couple bals of straw for a litte added insulation.
127271
127272
Corn field were the drain tile for the overflow runs out. The PVC pipes are markers for the G-60's and drain valves. The pvc to the very left is the pop up overflow for the tanks.

Catch basin from north side of yard. Notice the I-20 taped to a stick. Needed a little more coverage to keep the sod watered. There are sprays along the wall, but I was getting a dry spot were I don't have the rotors installed yet. Also this is actually the vacant lot next to me, and I don't want to go to crazy installing rotors until I know if the new neighbors will mind.
127296
For the landscaping guys. You can see a valve box by the utility boxes for a drip zone. There is anouther for a rotor zone that you can't see. In the same area.
127297
Fountain has a line run to it for filling. Covered for the winter.
127298
Armor Zone Valve boxes. Drip, rotor, spray, fountain valve.
127299
This is something that I added to all my drip zones were the rain-bird tubing hooks on. I put a tee with a threaded plug that I can remove and I use a vacum pump oil extractor to suck any water that is left after blow out. Here is a link to a simular extractor, I purchased my on Ebay for a lot less then they want for this one. http://www.drivingcomfort.com/index.cfm?fa=p&pid=5550&sc=6478 Let me know how you guys think this is a good idea or how you do it. Don't have a lot of experiance with drip zones before this.

I Emailed Mike D after I finished posting all those new threads and asked him if he could combine them into one.
Is there a way to do it yourself? If there is I couldn't find it.
Anyway now I know I should have just posted replies back to my original thread. Won't let it happen again.
Guess that is how you learn. From your mistakes.

The fountain looks like a buried missile silo with that cover on it!
Maybe an "optical delusion", but is the fountain wall NOT vertically level/parallel with the house? Looks a little like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.... could be the camera angle.

Looks like both are parallel, but gives appearance of lean because house/fountain sit at bottom of grade(???)

Thanks for the compliment.
The fountain is plumb. It is a 8' poured wall 10' diameter, sitting on a footing, with a brick ledge all the way around the outside just below grade. I then had the brick layer come back and veneer it. At the same time they did the pillars in the drive. I had the cap on top of the fountain wall custom made, which you cant see because of the cover, but it looks just like the cap in the drive between the pillars. This thing could withstand a hit from a missile
There are several pictures showing the fountain. Do they all look to be "leaning" to you?
Did do all my own dirt work. If that counts for landscaping. Rented a Harley Power rake for the skid loader. They work great, if you never used one.

I have been watching for a ICR remote on Ebay. See a few but they get bid up to high. Some day when everyone else has there's I will get mine.
What does a Rainmaster remote usually sell for? On Ebay.
From what I can see in the instruction manual. The Rainmaster is a little more versatile and user friendly than the ICR.
You do need to hook a wire to each of your zone wires on your existing controller. Basically paralleling the controller with the remote. The remote then fires off each zone with 24 volts supplied by the Rainmaster remote. Timing and switching is done by the remote as well. The only draw back would be the time it would take to hook up all the wires. They have a alligator clip pigtail if you don't want to make a permanent install. Suppose you would need to purchase several pigtails to hard wire at each location if you wanted to permanently install at all your customers sites if they don't have a Rainmaster controller.
One thing nice about the ICR is there are just three wires for the smart port, plug in the remote and your off and running. But it only works on Hunter's, the down side.

Fimco can hook you up with the pigtails - install 'em and leave them onsite.
The cheapest I've seen an RM go for on eBay is 700., and it was pretty beat-up looking. Been watching over there myself for one...
Maybe someone will reverse-engineer the IRC and figure out how to make it work on more than just a Hunter.

Also two (look to be new) RM transmitters. $700.00 Don't metion the receiver's that would be needed to make a system. Also the guy has only been on Ebay for a couple of days. One of my favorite stories to tell the managers comes to mind...
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, And Nobody
This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done...
Live it.

Very interesting. I am in the process (finally) of inventorying EVERYTHING I have. Every hand tool, power and electronic tool, nozzle, fitting, emitter, valve, vehicle, etc. For a few reasons - insurance, keep track of tools, and most importantly to know what my business is worth if I were to sell. Sorry, as Mike says. If you are going to use it on nonRM clocks you need the universal version. If I can't find one on Ebay when I need it this is one tool I pay full price for. A day without my RM well it just sucks. I can't get a friggin thing done without a remote. I plan on fitting current customers out of my own pocket. In the future I plan on having a set-up fee. I already charge a set up fee, but will up it to cover pig tail and labor. I would say 75% of the controllers I work with are Pro C and ICC.

This is what you need, the UA is shown with a Fimco pigtail.
After looking at the RM web site I see that there is a additional box included in the UA model. They call that box the Universal Adaptor. Part # PM-UADAPT
I was thinking the UA was just the cable with the alligator clips.
ARGOS Here is a link to the manual for the remote. You can read up on setup, function, operation. http://www.rainmaster.com/promax_prod_lit.htm
ML. What is the box below the controller for? Is it just a break out box for each zone, looks like there are a bunch of terminal strips in there? Is that how you do all your installs? Great idea. Or the box part of the the Fimco pigtail.

That is exactly what I am avoiding! I want the remote in hand before I read the install...actually I probably will just call Fimco.

We've always planned for expansion in our systems, no matter how small.
The splice box enables us to add or change zone configurations at will and
leaves the clock wiring unchanged; the way to go. Here's a double RM install.

It loops; one module is for the RM clock, the other is UA. I would be excited to have my first RM remote, too. :clapping::drinkup:

4. Went through a flood and does not work.
5. Factory reject.
6 STOLEN

Waterit, I feel bad about the bucket cracks and the lost tools pokes. To make it up I am willing to part with an almost brand new RM Remote for a mere $895.

I bought it two days ago. Already paid the guy. I wasn't positive if the UA was crucial. When I look at the manual it says FM not UA?
After seeing your post with the link to craiglist, and before you said you already purchased it. I wrote this guy to see if he still had the remote available.
I just got a reply back from a guy named Patrick Bruno saying that he still has it available.
ARGOS Is this the same guy that you purchased your remote from? Not sure what deal you got worked out with this guy, or how you paid for it. Possibly he has more than one.
Does this sound a little strange, or is it just me.
I just wrote him back saying that I would take it and I needed his, address to see what he has to say.
I will keep you all posted

I e-mailed the guy this morning asking him to call me and confirm he has shipped my remotes. Here is a message I got day before yesterday:
"Michael- I'm sorry to say, in the process of boxing up the unit I noticed that the transmitter no longer made an audible sound when the buttons were pushed. I just replaced the battery with a new one. It is highly possible that the battery is not good and I will have to purchase another to see.
In any event, I will send the money back to you via paypal. I can't imagine there is anything wrong with the unit, it is in perfect shape and is always securely placed in it's foam case. I've never experienced even the slightest issue with the unit. I will replace the battery and let you know. If your no longer interested I understand. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Chris"
I said keep the money for now and let me know what happens when you have them checked out. So, after the current events I checked my paypal account and the money has been put back into the account????? I'm don't see a scam angle?

He may have found someone willing to pay more than he originally advertised to you. Then again, he might be a good guy and fix it and sell it to you.

There were two remotes on Craigslist. This Bruno guy is from Denver. I thought it was the one that you purchased. I wrote both and asked if they were still avalible. Sorry for jumping the gun, but the pics look alike.

At least you got your money back. Although I would have rather had the remote at that price.
Maybe it will come through, if the guy is on the up'idy up. And hasn't sold it to some one else for more, like suggested by Dana.
