View Full Version : Kohler Valve clatter--simple fix

We went to our dealer yesterday to get some warranty work done, and the guy said that 30wt KOHLER OIL will fix the valve clatter in the Kohler 25HP engine. He said one of the other guys went to kohler training and that's what they told him. We ain't got Kohlers, just wanting to pass on the word as I'd heard about the clatter problem.

Steve, make sure that it is 10w-30 Kohler oil your putting in that Command engine. We had the same problem and it fixed it right away.

my dealer told me to use a synthetic oil.

I didn't use any thing but 10w-30 when the noise first started.

The guy just said that the 10w30 KOHLER OIL will fix the clatter in the 25s. We don't have Kohler, I was just passing on the word.
