Definately a fire, you can see the steel wires that band together and reinforce the tracks. Wow, hope insurance covers that!

i know exactly where that skid is...i was there on monday lookin at some other equipment. Its a 322 not sure why any one would want it though because from what i could see it is pretty much destroyed.. i know i would want nothn to do with it. Im a deere fan i like deere equipment i dont think it has anything to do with the brand. a lot of equipment that comes through this place that is burnt up is usally from a barn fire's at farms.

that's defintely fire damage. Looks like the fire started on the C side, then snaked its way over to the D side than on up to the A side.

A side? D side? Do what? I know I live in the south, I am kinda slow on somethings, but man you totally lost me on this one...I understand. Its fire tactical terms. "A Side" means the front, "B side" means the left side, "C side" means the back, and "D side" means the right. Its so when we enter a stucture we know which side we came in from and which side were on when we get lost in stucture fire.

I bet they dont get the burnt smell out of that one! I would think he would get more out of it if he sold it for scrap than to an individual, its all metal anyways all the plastics, and other crap is gone, and as hot as it got the booms were mostly likely weakened..

Dosen't it seem like there is more burnt skids now? Or did people scrap them before and not try to sell them on Ebay?

The economy is down, people are letting there insurance get them out of there steep payments... And scrap is extremely low right now! During the summer, you could take a car up to the recycling center and get almost 800 for it, now ur lucky for 200!

Some of you guys aren't going to like this but those burnt skids have alot of value in them for the right people. Those skids are sold with a clean ownership, guy buys one for peanuts (sometimes big$'s too) steals the same model, changes number plates and viola he's got a cheap machine. Happens with other things too, bikes, cars, sleds, etc. I was at a sale once and a completely burnt and I mean completely burnt mustang car sold for over $3000. Could hardly even tell it was a car. It was some desirable old car and had a clean title.

I never thought of that but it makes sense.
