In 1981, we started with a 1980 K-10, three-on the tree standard (I think GM only made one of these) with a $700 used Meyer blade. I didn't like the 3 speed, so I put in a 4 gear, then after 2 more clutches, we upgraded to an '84 K-10 auto.....
----------
John
We started in '94 with an 89 GMC K150 and 8' Sno-Way plow. It was the first year my son was driving, there were a couple places he would not do,, too much pucker factor for a 16 yr old. By the next year he was a veteran and it didn't bother him to plow anywhere. We were taking turns in the truck, at one point the truck ran for 40 hours straight, stopping only for fuel and to change drivers. Talk about having all your eggs in one basket! Never would have dared do that with a ::gasp:: Ford

I started in 1977 with a 1975 Ford Bronco and a 6.5' Western plow with the T handle control. It had 28,000 miles on it and looked like new and cost me $3500. I sure wish I could find another one just like it for that price.
----------
Eric@ELM
