Thanks for asking Ned...The LITE Certification Program is going to start enrolling participants this month. We are finalizing the last of the paperwork and should be able to start signing people up for next years training by 12/19/08. I will be sure to post up all the training dates here this week or next as well as all the details on how to get enrolled.

As of right now we have a great group of contributing manufacturers to bring this certification some serious credbility.

GE
Ushio
PCS / Pulseworx
Innovative Pool Products
Illumin FX
Paige Electric
ABT Wireless

I will keep you and everyone else informed!!

Joey what about an online course? You know even if I wouldn't receive credit for the certification I would love to take it for personal growth!

Steve,

The LITE certification program we are offering in conjunction with GE, Ushio, PCS control systems, Innovative Pool Products, IlluminFX, Paige Electric, and ABT Wireless will not be able to be offered online. This certification will consist of hands on, written, and verbal testing to ensure legitimate certifications. All of these manufacturers including us are contributing and many different levels of certification including design, installation, automation, LED, fiber optics, wire, and lamps will have to betaught in a classroom setting. Now we may be able to do online re newal courses but that will come down the line. Look for me to make a post here on LS in the coming weeks highlighting this one of a kind certification that will have the endorsement from all of these top quality manufacturers.

Unlike the CLVLT certification the AOLP offers, this test will be an up to date lighting course and certification that will teach you multiple systems including 1838 restricted systems, Multi-Tap 12v and 24v systems, wiring methods, and a host of other technical and design related subjects!

Joey,
Any new news? I am contemplating going to the AOLP meeting, but wanted to wait to see what the LITE program had to offer before I comitted to either.

I am more concerned with the best training I can get for my time and money as opposed to anything else.

Thanks

Like I tell everyone, the AOLP conference is one person every should attend to generate their own opinion. But like I always have been, I am confident we put on the best training in the industry. The LITE program is just about finished up. We have been adding a lot of stuff to the program. Where we are going to differ than the AOLP is you will have a choice of multiple certifications in design and installation as well as a host of optional certification modules on Automation, Lamps, Wire, Connections, Photography, etc.......

I was hoping to have everything done this last week but we are waiting on finalizing a few of the last details. Should be able to post the information packet here on LS by the end of the day tommorow!!!
