I have a snapper pro cruiser with a 25 hp kholer, it needed a new starter. I replaced the starter and i have one black wire left. it is about 8 in. I have no idea were it goes. does anybody have this mower and might be able to tell me were it goes. also the mower will not start on its own, i have to jump it, then it dies after about 30 min.

thank you very much.

Sounds like a ground.

would that affect the starting and it dieing after about 30 min?

It could. A bad ground can do a lot of things.

would it connect to the starter and the other end the frame? I am so mad cuz I can not remember wear it went.

Possibly a small terminal on the starter solenoid, assuming the solenoid has TWO small terminals??

What does the other end connect to?

the solenoid does have two terminals. one is used to connect the red possitive battery cable and the other is connected to the sstarter.I am not sure. if its a ground possibly the frame.

The solenoid has 2 LARGE terminals and 1 or 2 SMALL terminals.
The large terminals go to the battery and to the starter motor.

It's the small terminal(s) I mentioned.
1 comes from the key switch, providing 12V when in the crank position to activate the solenoid.
IF there is a 2nd one, it goes to ground, often through a safety switch. That's the one I was referring to.

IF there isn't a 2nd small terminal, than the solenoid body is grounded to the frame.
