I have a customer that is wanting to replace all ther mulched areas with black lave rock and I am having a hard time finding it in Indiana. I am needing a place that can handle a very large bulk order, if anyone has any ideas i would really appreciate it.

Hop in a time machine and go back to the '80's?
Just seems like an awfully "dated" material to want to use, IMO. Better than red lava rock though I guess.
Yeah, I'm no help at all...

Hmmmm. I have the same problem you do when it comes to wanting to buy in bulk around here. The local nursery only has top soil in bulk so I buy all my other stuff from the hardware store generally. One of these days if all goes really well I may open up my own supply place here in town but thats a long ways out

I'm about 225 miles south of you, so probably no real help, but our local rock yard in Owensboro, KY (Yager Materials) keeps red lava rock, black lava, river rock, pea gravel, white (play) sand, some sort of coral looking stuff on hand. I know this is a little way from you. You may be able to call them and see who their supplier is, I know they truck it in 25 tons at a time in 18 wheelers. Phone number is: 1-270-926-3611, Yager Materials.

Thanks for all the info, I might call them and see if they know of any dealers closer to Indy, if not I may end up using them.
