Metric bolt

I have to helicoil a sump bolt on a Kohler CH 25, PS 68695 BA, 320 790 5541.
I know it's 8 millimeter, but which thread, is it M 8 x 1.0 or M 8 x 1.25
I'm betting on the M 8 x 1.25

Also, what do I torque them to once I put it all back together, I figure around 19 ft. lbs.
